SUP Eco Tour

Our SUP Eco Tour combines our most popular SUP Fun Tour with a visit to a unique ecosystem on the shores of the Lake Atitlan. We start out with a two hour SUP excursion on the lake (including a personalized introduction to stand up paddle boarding), followed by a guided visit to the Atitlan Nature Reserve. We come in from a private entrance and follow swinging bridges and trails to discover monkeys, coatimundi, raccoons and other wildlife. We’ll also visit an open deck for watching the birds and animals in their natural settings. After our visit, we paddle back to our starting point. The Nature reserve also offers zip-lining adventures and an open-air café amongst the coffee groves.

Fun Tour

This is our most popular tour, offering everyone a chance to experience Lake Atitlan in an exiting way. The Fun Tour is a two hour excursion that includes personalized introduction to stand up paddle boarding (SUPing). Allow us to teach you the basic techniques of SUPing, such as safety, proper body mechanics and a variety of paddle strokes and stances…all on a flat, calm section of Lake Atitlan.  This is a safe, eco, and age friendly activity for anyone to enjoy on Lake Atitlan.  Let’s get out there and have some FUN!

Instruction

We require a minimum of 20 minutes of basic instruction before letting you take out a board on your own. During this class we teach you some techniques of SUP boarding, such as safety, proper body mechanics, and a variety of paddle strokes and stances; all on a flat, calm section of Lake Atitlan. If you choose to book our Fun Tour or Fun Eco Tour, this basic lesson is included. Our EPS high-quality boards are especially developed for this lake environment at 5125 feet (1562 meters), which is very different from paddling at sea level. We offer only top of the line boards and strong, lightweight carbon fiber paddles. Our years of experience on the water will keep you safe, while allowing you to enjoy everything the lake has to offer.

Night Glow Tour and Dinner

Join us after dark for a night-glow paddle adventure and dinner at a private dock in Santa Cruz.  Our night time paddling on SUP boards, outfitted with waterproof Nocqua LED lights is our newest adventure.  Our lights have 7 different hues and settings to give you a night time color spectacle.  It brings a whole new dimension to your paddling experience.  You will not want to miss this!  Gliding on the lake with the lit up boards makes for an awesome evening excursion.  After paddling, you'll go for a private dinner at a house on the lakeshore.

Hourly Board Rentals

If you have SUP experience and you want to paddle on your own, we can offer you paddle board rentals for 1 hours, 2 hours, 1/2 day or full day. Our EPS high-quality boards are especially developed for our lake environment at 5125 feet (1562 meters), which is very different from paddling at sea level. We do not use inexpensive plastic, inflatables, or soft-top boards. And we offer only top of the line boards and strong, carbon fiber lightweight paddles. If you don’t have prior experience, we require a minimum of 20 minutes of basic instruction, before you can take the board out on your own.  Or, join our Fun Tour for a 2 hour guided adventure with instruction.

SUP Wakesurfing

All of our SUP excursions offer an opportunity to enjoy the Lake Atitlan in a relaxing way, while getting a well-rounded full-body workout.  Then there are days you want to kick it up a notch.  SUP WakeSurfing is the way to go for for some high-speed fun.  Getting started takes a little practice, but once you go one round and are used to being towed behind the boat, you’ll never want to let go of the rope.  We’ll teach you various ways to sit and stand, riding on top and over of the wake.  Let’s surf an endless wave at one the most amazing lakes in the world.

Downwind paddleboard tour

Our Downwind Paddleboard Tour is the ultimate SUPing adventure.  You’ll get the perfect mix of waves, breeze, open water, private coves, pocket beaches, and scenic beauty.  We meet first to stretch and review safety procedures.  The trip normally departs from Santa Cruz, but the direction we paddle depends on the wind and waves.  Once we are out on the open lake, we’ll follow the direction the water takes us, enjoying the amazing coastline and distant volcanoes.  All participants should be experienced on a paddleboard and comfortable in open water.
